An introduction to transparent-edge and counter-current pool concepts, including water-flow planning, compact installations, circulation and the engineering behind an uninterrupted horizon effect.
The visual principle
An infinity edge uses controlled levels and overflow details to make the water surface appear to merge with the horizon or surrounding landscape. Transparent acrylic walls can extend the effect vertically.
Hydraulic and structural coordination
The overflow, balance tank, circulation, waterproofing, supporting structure and transparent panel must be engineered together. Counter-current training pools add a separate flow-design requirement.
